Skeleton Boy & Sneaky pics

I absolutely love Scenic Route papers, particularly their "strips" papers....they virtually scrap themselves they are so gorgeous. I think the layout below demonstrates that....I've used the Halloween paper as is and just added a bold title, some felt bats (thanks Margo) and done a bit of doodling - a very quick page (particularly given speed scrapping is not something I am known for)
Here is a sneaky pic of some 6x6 pages I have done for the SCKC camp for needy kids in Australia....if you haven't heard about the fabulous mini albums that are being created for these kids head over to the Fiskars Ambassadors blog and check out about this great project and see some other sneaky pics posted on 26th February.

Double Digits

So it seems only last year that my baby was sleeping in his cot with his favourite lemon bunny - looking so blonde and cute in his red overalls and was going to turn 1 in a month or so!!!! (notice the dummy just fallen out of his hand) But NO that was actually 10 years ago...because Taylor turned double digits on Sunday.

He's having a bit of an extended birthday this year as we are off to Splash Planet next Saturday with 5 of his mates for the day. We would have gone this Saturday just gone, but the Cubs had Mud Slide day - which couldn't be missed, and Sunday our local City Council brought Op Shop to town for a free family concert....and the pre-teen wanted to attend the concert. Unfortunately our beautiful day ended up with drizzle that turned to a moderate shower....so we got a bit wet...but we had a great time. There were a few stalls at the concert and Taylor trottered off with a bit of "play money" and came back 1o minutes later with a tattoo!!!! They are spray on and wash off within a few days......when he told me I was a bit surprised and then he pulled up his sleeve and said he'd picked the tattoo especially for you Mum....he had picked a heart with Mum & Dad on it.......I had a heart melting Mummy moment.... We had lots of friends attend the concert and then come back home for birthday cake and coffee - which was a great end to a fun day.

I'm going to put a brick on his head and stop him growing up too fast......
Keep an eye out for these photos being scrapped some time soon.

Thank You for All your Kind comments

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to make contact, either on my blog or by email, following the announcement of my appointment to the Lime Tart DT....I really appreciate you all taking the time to get in touch and passing on your congratulations. This is one of the things I absoluately love about the scrapbooking community - everyone is so supportive of each other and their work.

I'm going to leave you with a sneaky piccie of a layout I have done for the Fiskars Ambassasors blog ....which will be going up on their blog in the next week or so.

Keep an eye on this blog...there is always lots of inspirational information being posted on a virtually daily basis.

It's Offical - I'm a Tart!!

So I can finally let you know my exciting news. I have been asked to join the Lime Tart design team www.limetart.com/ as one of two new DT members. The little teaser I left in my last post (the layout of Taylor with his new front teeth) is the layout that has now been posted with my design team profile at Lime Tart.

I am absoluately thrilled and a little over whelmed to be working with such a talented design team...the other Lime Tarts work absolutely blows me away - can't wipe the smile off my face.

Roll on the March kit when I get my first chance to play with one of kits. Philippa does such a fantastic job of putting together gorgeous beautifully co-ordinated kits that scream "play with me". Which is what attracted me to apply to work for this DT.

So watch this space where I'll share my work for Lime Tart in the coming months.

New Layouts to Share

Just finished a layout about Taylors visit to the Teddy Factory for this 9th birthday (can't believe this is a year ago next week, as he turns 10 on the 24th February) for the Fiskars ambassadors blog using 2 product ranges - Heidi Grace Urban Acres & Oh So Moody product ranges with a couple of Heidi Grace papers from the Meadow flowers pack.
Love how all the product ranges go so well together. Used my Fiskars clear stamps for the first time (birthday set).....wow they are lovely quality and stamp so cleanly and clearly....used them to create the little birthday cake instead of using the word birthday. Stamped it twice on scraps of the papers I was using. Once on blue and once on cream....then cut out the cake layers from the cream and layered them on top of the blue with magic mount to give a 3D effect. For a little extra impact I used gel pens on the candles - white & orange.

Also sharing another layout about Taylor.....this one is a close up picture of him in 2006 when he got his permanent two front teeth....look how big they look!!! This layout will be used for something very special that I can't tell you about just yet....but its something I am very excited about....so drop back soon to find out more. Hope to share news by end of the weekend.

Well off to get myself looking glamourest (it takes longer these days!!!). Bruce and I are out tonight for dinner with 6 of our best mates for Valentines Day. (my 2 boys and I had a date last night with a picnic at a local outdoor concert). But tonight, Taylor is off to Gran's so Bruce and I can go out for a great meal, good wine and lots of laughs with some friends who weren't fortunate enough to have a babysit for the actual night .......should be great fun....

Not planning on getting up too early in the morning (do I ever!!!). Its raining cats and dogs here at present (but we need it) so could be an excuse to spend the day in the scrap room if this weather continues...or maybe a movie - this something we love to do as a family on a grotty day.
